We’ll spare you all the details and give you the run down. After yesterdays long day, we tried to get up early and see if we could do the repairs and still make it in time for the 11am check-out time. That didn’t happen. We decided to stay another night to take the stress of time out of our mind. This is what our morning looked like:

Wet and Rainy. Good day to fix a bike.

Everything was perfect about our location.  We searched and searched for auto stores or mechanics or supermarkets.  We found an auto store that was open on Saturdays not more than 2 miles away.  A mall was 2 miles away, and even a Taco Bell was just around the corner 😉

After Jerry picked up a few parts, we thought of the great idea to use our beat up tent as a working area and drive the bike straight in.  It was humid and hot but it worked out perfectly, check out our working space:

Happy, dry, and getting the job done.

We worked on the bike a few hours then took a break to dry off (yes, we still got wet), had some food, and we even hit up another movie (we are roughing it).  Afterwards, we spent another 45 minutes on the bike and called it a night as it got dark.  We are going to start again first thing in the morning.

The bike is working but not feeling the greatest.  We are going to try and put in 4 hours tomorrow and make it to Providence, RI and find a mechanic there.  Wish us luck!

Forecast:  Rainy and storming for a few more days.  Let’s hope it changes, we’re tired of getting soaked! 😉
